Pentru Antarctica, chiar dacă expediția poate include o noapte de pre-cazare în Ushuaia, un pasager din România are în mod uzual nevoie și de zborul internațional, de zborurile Buenos Aires–Ushuaia–Buenos Aires, de 1–2 nopți în Buenos Aires la dus și de o noapte la retur, plus transferurile aferente.
Pentru Groenlanda se adaugă zborul până la Reykjavík și minimum o noapte înainte de expediție, iar întoarcerea se face de regulă din Danemarca, după zborul charter. Acolo unde charterul este obligatoriu și tarifat separat de croazieră, componenta rămâne distinctă și transparentă.
